Could wood putty fix a dent in a hollow wooden door?
I have an average sized dent on my hollow wooden door. I don’t want to buy a new door, so can I just use wood putty or some bondo? If so, could you give me a quick how-to? Thank you
Here’s a real trick.
Buy expanding foam from your hardware store (medium density). Make a hole just large enough to fit the small injection hose through. Empty a good portion of the can until the dent becomes just a little less than even with the rest of the door. It will even itself out and the excess will squirt through the small hole. Wait until the foam dries, Cut away the exposed excess. Put a little dab of putty there and color RI match the door.
