My lacrosse helmet is black and boring is it safe to spray paint it?
I want a new helmet but I don’t need one right now so my mom won’t buy one. I was thinking about painting it but I don’t know if it will work. If it does what kind of paint do I need? I’d prefer answers from people who have done this successfully but that’s okay if you just have an idea. Gracias.
OMG yes its ok. I use to spray paint my lacrosse helmet untill i got into high school and got a team helmet. Just make sure you coat it a couple of times so that the paint does not come off. Regular spray paint will work fine or in that matter any paint just dont get like a quart of paint and use a paint brush. USE SPRAY PAINT.

Athletic Eye Injuries
In order to help you prevent an athletic eye injury from occurring, the best thing you can do for yourself is to wear protective eyeglasses. Whether or not you already require glasses or contacts to see, an experienced ophthalmologist near you can help you find the right kind of athletic eye protection for your sport.
The eyes are two of the most sensitive organs in your body, which is why it is so important to protect them from injuries during sports or recreational activities. The most common athletic eye injuries ophthalmologists see every year fall into three different categories:
- Radiation Injuries – Your eyes, like your skin, can be damaged from the ultraviolet rays of the sun. In sports like snowboarding, water skiing, sailing, and jet skiing, if you don’t wear proper eye protection, the sun can irritate and injure the eye
- Penetrating Injuries – When an object enters the eye and cuts or scratches the eye tissue, it can severely damage your vision. Common penetrating eye injuries are fishing hooks piercing the eye, sand or dirt entering the eye, and fingers scratching the eye during contact sports.
- Blunt Force Trauma – The most common eye injury, blunt force trauma occur in many different types of sports, including hockey, baseball, football, lacrosse, tennis, boxing, and even golf. Some of the injuries that can occur from blunt for trauma are:
- Ruptured Eyeballs
- Black Eyes
- Broken Orbital
- Detached Retina
One of the biggest misconceptions about athletic eye injuries is that wearing regular sunglasses or eyeglasses can prevent them. The fact is, sunglasses made for fashion and eyeglasses made for reading or driving are not made of the same material as true protective athletic eyewear.
Many people suffer additional eye injuries by wearing regular glasses and sunglasses during athletic activities because the plastic or glass in the lenses can shatter and penetrate the eyes. If you play any type of sport that could potentially damage your eyes, there is a protective eyewear solution for you.
